Colossus

I'm not really a religious person, but there's something pretty spectacular and awesome about the statue of Christ that sits overlooking Rio de Janerio. To me it's like a Brazilian version of the Statue of Liberty, comforting and welcoming. Apparently the soap-stone used to construct it is so soft, that even a fingernail could scratch it, even though it's very resistant to the elements. Astounding.
