those of you who have digital telly may have caught a little documentary on bbc3 about former libertines frontman, current babyshambles (ho ho) frontman, kate moss' latest conquest, and celebrity crackhead pete doherty.

i'm a big fan of the libertines, and indeed babyshambles. the rawness and energy that their songs have comes across like Mohammed Ali coming over to your house to criticise your curtains. you're awe-struck and you don't want it to stop. everything about them is, well, class. musically, lyrically, and image-wise.

you'll understand why i was itching to watch this. however, a problem soon emerged. that is, pete doherty, celebrity crackhead etc is a cock.

a wanker, if you will. arrogant, seemingly ignorant that he's wasting his talent everytime he puts a needle in his vein, he is the best anti-drugs advert i've ever seen. this is a man who was flung in jail for breaking into his mate's house, stealing some personal belongings, and then flogging them for cash!

the sad thing was that if it was reported on the news that he'd died of an overdose, you wouldn't be surprised in the slightest. just say no kids.
