Lion

So, in 24 hours time the nation will either be celebrating a glorious victory, or, as in the past, a glorious defeat.

Either way, it's been a fucking rollercoaster to get to the position where we are. 84th in the world rankings to 13th is not bad going for a country of our size, and for the lack of depth we have in the quality we have of professional players.

Actually, that sounds quite disengenious. The team we have are fantastic. They would have to be to beat the two world cup finalists, a semi finalist, and a team made up of Hearts players. Who would have thought at the start of qualification that players such as Brown, Boyd & McFadden would be talked about in the same breath as greats such as Baxter, Gemmill, or Dalgliesh.

Even if we don't qualify, it's a massive acheivement. The last time we were in a competition was 1998. Too long ago if you ask me...
