y ddraig goch ddyry gychwyn

i feel ashamed, yet happy.

a traitor to the cause. yet unflinching.

on the last day of the six nations i stood in a pub, in my home town, wearing a welsh top.

despite the fact that scotland were playing the auld enemy, i couldn't have cared less.

i was more worked up about the wales-ireland match.

and what a match it was. the last 15 minutes were unbearable, and yet the boys from cymru shone through, and they deservedly took the grand slam. and yet watching my own team was a bit of an anti-climax.

glory hunting? perhaps. but for tonight, i'm welsh and proud.

heist

if you've not already seen it, i suggest you go and see oceans twelve. it's nowhere as slick as the first one, but it's still a good watch, with a decent script and ludicrous but fun plot. the various cameos are also pretty good. it's also the only film in living memory to feature product placement from arsenal football club.

whilst partaking in my daily stroll of various news sources, i happened across a terrifying tale of a haunted nintendo, and the interesting similarities of welsh and hindi. all in all a good way to spend a day off.

pounding

another gallant, yet futile display by scotland last night. we were out-classed, pure and simple. i try and not be negative when a team gets a new coach (whisper it, but i was giving vogts a chance right up until the end). wales are world class at the moment, no question about it. if there's any other team i would want to win the grand slam, it's them. we have to realistic though, scotland does not have the players at the moment to make a up a class side. we can certainly play when we want to, making up 19 points in the second half shows that, but it's unrealistic to think that we have the right at the moment to be winning games against sides that have two years ahead in development over us. williams is a good coach, he's proven it in the past, and i'm sure he'll prove it in the future.

enternal optimism? probably. but then it's advisable to have lots of it when you're a scotland fan. i'm off for some tea, and lots of it.
