Right, it's been a while, so down to brass tacks.

James Brown RIP. I remember seeing him at the Live8 concert at Murrayfield (on telly, unfortunately) a couple of years ago, and being amazed by the levels of energy being exerted by a septagenerian.

On a happier note, this month has welcomed the arrival of one Emily Claire Munro, and one George Livingstone Irvine into the World. If they're anything like their parents, they'll be fine upstanding citizens, and thoroughly nice people to boot.
